Vaughan Ontario Canada Houses
Vaughan is located in the York region of Toronto, Ontario. It is known as the ‘The City above Toronto’. Etienne Brule was the first European to move through the Humber Trail. Townships started appearing in 1792. It was known to be very remote and lacking in proper networked roads for travel. The first immigrants were Germans, British and French. Migration. Migration from the United States took place in 1814 along with other waves from Britain. Hamlets existed around communities, and Thorhill was one of the major ones. Others were Patterson, Fisherville, Elgin Mills, and Nashville. Vaughan was established as Vaughan Township in 1850. Humber River Regional Hospital is the closest hospital in Vaughan.
Some of the local attractions of Vaughan include the Baitul Islam Mosque, the Boyd Conservation Area, the Canadian Soccer Hall of Fame and Museum, Canada’s Wonderland Amusement Park, the McMichael Canadian Art Collection, the Thornhill Town Centre and the Vaughan Mills mall. York University has 43,000 students enrolled in it. Sports attractions include the Ontario Soccer Association, Woodbridge Softball Association, Toronto Canada Moose, Vaughan Flames, Vaughan Rangers, Vaughan Kings, Vaughan Vipers, Italia Shooters and Vaughan Vikings. The Kortright Conservation Area is an environmental education centre. It has over 800 acres of land, 18 kilometers of hiking trails and other educational attractions. Annual events such as the Canada Day Celebrations, Winterfest and Mayor’s Gala are also held.

Vaughan has a very mild climate. The summer maximum temperature reaches 27 degree Celsius and the winter low temperature is -2 degree Celsius. The autumns are also mild in the day and cool during the nights. The spring has rain. Vaughan has a nine member city council. The council has a mayor, regional councilors made up of 3 people, and local councilors of 5 numbers for local wards. Vaughan has more than 7,000 registered businesses operating in its city limits. Some these are Royal Group Technologies, Scintrex Limited, and the Toronto Star Press Centre. Maple, Thornhill, Woodbridge and Kleinburg makeup Vaughan’s communities. Vaughan has Toronto in the south, King in the north, Markham and Richmond in the east and Caledon and Brampton in the west.
